​Calling all strength athletes! Come show off your skills and help us raise money for a fantastic organization that helps cancer patients and their families here in Western, MA.

 

This is an unsanctioned charity event. An opportunity to show your strength for fun!

 

This meet will include three events:

​

Jerk Competition (weightlifting)  - 3 attempts for max weight

Deadlift Competition (powerlifting)  - 3 attempts for max weight

Axle overhead press- 3 attempts for max weight 

​

For age classes there will be an OPEN class and a MASTERS class. For weight classes there will be a Men's Light Weight (220 under) and Men's Heavy Weight (220+) division and a Women's Light Weight (165 and under) and Women's Heavy Weight (165+) division.​

​Founded in 2000, Cancer Connection, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides a community cancer support center serving individuals and families who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Cancer Connection is the only cancer support center in Hampshire and Franklin Counties and draws additional participants from Hampden County and beyond. The Cancer Connection offer all their support groups, integrative therapies, classes, and programs free of charge in a non-clinical environment. They invite you to call  at your convenience to talk to staff or a trained befriender for help sorting out priorities, accessing resources, or simply providing deep listening and emotional support to people dealing with a diagnosis and their loved ones.
